As COVID-19 continues to be a growing concern, many states are taking steps to further limit the potential spread of the virus. Last week, Governor Walz issued a mandatory face covering requirement.
Emergency Executive Order 20-81 requires Minnesotans to wear a face covering in certain settings to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Minnesotans must wear a face covering in indoor businesses and indoor public settings, as described in the order. Workers must also wear face coverings outdoors when it is not possible to maintain social distancing. When leaving home, Minnesotans are strongly encouraged to have a face covering with them at all times to be prepared to comply with the requirements of this Executive Order. While businesses are remaining open at this time, here’s what you need to know about how the mask requirement will affect real estate transactions:
All real estate transactions that occur between individuals who reside outside of any one person’s home setting, will require that a mask is worn. This includes any real estate agents, and buyers/sellers who may be visiting an open house or scheduled tour. Maintaining social distancing guidelines of 6ft is also encouraged.
Additionally, we have added the new mask requirement to our MSP Realty LLC COVID-19 Preparedness plan. You can view this plan at: https://www.msp-realty.com/2020/06/18/msp-realty-llc-covid-19-preparedness-plan/
Since masks will be required when outside the home, why not make it fun? Check out these funky mask designs on etsy that will give you (and others) a good laugh in light of it all:
